This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR Subpart 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FHFA-09-Q-SUNSM and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541519 with a small business size standard of $25 Million. This requirement is a total small business set-aside, and only qualified offerors may submit quotations. Offerors must be actual manufacturer authorized to sell/service the equipment listed in the statement of work. It is anticipated that only one award will result from this solicitation via the issuance of a firm fixed-price commercial contract. All interested offerors can provide a quotation as set forth below. Description of Services/Scope of Work: The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has a follow-on requirement for hardware and software maintenance support of Sun server equipment/systems in accordance with the attached scope of work. Period of Performance (five (5) years total including a base and four (4) option periods): Base: 1 Oct 2009-30 Sep 2010 Option 1: 1 Oct 2010-30 Sep 2011 Option 2: 1 Oct 2011-30 Sep 2012 Option 3: 1 Oct 2012-30 Sep 2013 Option 4: 1 Oct 2013-30 Sep 2014 Terms and Conditions: This solicitation incorporates the provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 2005-34, effective July 01, 2009. Offeror must provide at least three (3) referenced contracts related to an existing or prior contract under which it is providing, or has successfully provided the same or similar services as in the scope of work. Reference information must also include: agency/firm's name and address; technical and business contacts information (tel number and email address); contract number; period of performance; and description of relevant scope of work actually performed. 3.
