The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, Melvern Kansas Lake Project Office, intends to issue a contract to furnish and deliver sand and shot rock the Melvern Lake Project, Melvern, KS. =================================================================================== SAND AND RIPRAP FOR FLOOD DAMAGE REPAIR MELVERN LAKE PROJECT, MELVERN, KS STATEMENT OF WORK: SUMMARY: This statement of work outlines the requirements and tasks associated with furnishing and delivering beach sand and riprap for beach and shoreline renovation. Materials shall be delivered to five different locations on the Melvern Lake Project, Melvern, KS. (See delivery locations below.) Total quantities are for 830 tons of beach sand and 595 tons of 24 inch riprap. RIPRAP: Riprap shall be 24 quarry run limestone meeting minimum requirements as per KDOT Section 1116k, Standards Specifications for riprap. Riprap shall be delivered to 3 locations: Turkey Point Camp Area------------------- 100 tons Arrow Rock Camp Area ------------------- 100 tons Outlet Park Rock Storage Area---------- 395 tons SAND: Sand shall be a natural, washed sand meeting a gradation of 100% passing a 4mm sieve size and 97% passing a 2.36 mm sieve size. Sand shall be delivered to 2 locations: Outlet Park Swimming Pond------------ 400 tons Coeur d Alene Beach-------------------- 430 tons Delivery schedule and exact dump locations shall be coordinated with the Operations Manager or his representative.
