Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contract for Offsite Sterile Processing Services

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) on behalf of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Inova Health Care Services, 8095 Innovation Park Dr, Fairfax, Virginia 22031-4868. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 (a)(2), only one responsible source. The award is essential to supplement sterile processing services and ensure continuity of surgical and clinical operations at WRNMMC following catastrophic damage to the in-house SPD.
