Gensym G2 Development Licenses

This synopsis is to inform industry that Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue a solicitation to procure QTY 2 Gensym G2 deployment licenses to support lab-based development, testing, and troubleshooting of the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) system on all test sites and labs. The AAG system is a CVN-based aircraft arrestment system that utilizes Gensym G2 software as part of its health monitoring and prognostics system. The Government intends to procure the above items on a sole source basis to SHI International Corp (CAGE: 1HTF0) under the authority of 10USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation, when issued, will be for a firm-fixed price contract. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation which may be used by the government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
